Jure Zdovc
Jure Zdovc is a legendary name of Slovenian and aswell European basketball. In his unbelievable and amazing basketball career as a player he won almost all the throphies in national and club competition.Jure Zdovc started his coaching career as an assistant coach in Krka in 2003/2004. He was part of team's coaching staff for only few months as he accepted the offer of legendary Croatian club Split to join them as head coach. In Split he started his coaching career in great fashion winning the Croatian National Cup in competition with Euroleague team Cibona, ULEB Cup team Zadar and Adriatic League team Zagreb. In 2004/2005 je returned to Slovenia where he was put incharge of Geoplin Slovan Ljubljana, but he left the team in december because of personal reasons. In 2005/2006 je joined Greek team Iraklis where he coached for more than half of the season, but he had to leave the team due to financial difficulties. He became sports director of Union Olimpija in 2006/2007. Next season he was put incharge as head coach of legendary Bosna of Sarajevo, where he made great success leading them back in Adriatic League by winning the Bosnian Championship and aswell leaving good impression in ULEB Cup. In 2008 he was named head coach of Slovenian National Team and will lead Slovenia on Eurobasket 2009 in Poland. Union Olimpija hired Jure Zdovc untill end of 2010/2011 season. During 2008/2009 season he was successfull winning both domestic competitions.
