Last Euroleague game in legendary Tivoli, next season in new arena04.01.2010

Union Olimpija awaits 9th round of Euroleague when they will face mighty CSKA Moscow on Thursday night. This will be the last game of Union Olimpija in legendary Tivoli Arena as from next season on the club will move to new Stožice Arena which will accept 12000 visitors. Before the game Union Olimpija held a press conference where captain of the team Sašo Ožbolt and head coach Jure Zdovc made statements.

Jure Zdovc, head coach of Union Olimpija: "We await the last home game in this Euroleague season. We worked hard during the holidays, players are healthy and I can only praise them for their work. I am very optimistic before the start of 2010 year, Euroleague is finished for us but other goals are still alive and reachable. This does not mean we will give up against CSKA, on contrary, we will do everything to surprise them. CSKA is playing better and better each game but they already lost in Ljubljana so I don't see a reason why they shouldn't lose again."

Sašo Ožbolt, captain of Union Olimpija: "Even if we lost the chances for TOP16 we want to win against CSKA. We will try not to be last in our group. This is our mission from now on and it is not an easy one. We are motivated, maybe we are a little bit tired after hard work during the holidays but this will be forgoten during the game. You can not be tired when you play against CSKA and especially infront of our home crowd."
