Union Olimpija will play its 5th round of Euroleague this Wednesday when they will face Italian club Virtus Roma. The head coach Jure Zdovc and player Edin Bavčić met the media on press conference where they made statements about their expectations about the fortcoming game. At the moment the situation in Union Olimpija's roster status is still unclear due to injury of Matt Walsh who is questionable for the game with Roma. Uroš Slokar, Vlado Ilievski and Sani Bečirović are also having some injury problems but they are expected to play.

The game will be also great opportunity to promote Special Olympics games. Euroleague is Special Olympics partner in promotion and the game with Virtus Roma was choosen to be one of the promoting ones all over the Europe.

Jure Zdovc, head coach of Union Olimpija: "We await a very special fifth round of Euroleague and we need to win it. There is no other choice. I expect also from my players that they will have such attitude on Wednesday. I hope they will play as expected. Matt Walsh is still not practicing with the rest of the team and is questionable if he will be able to play in this game against Roma. Sani Bečirović is slowly getting back from sickness which held him in his bed for whole last week. He should be ready untill Roma game. Vlado Ilievski didn't play for a while but he is returning from mascule injury and he should give his maximum in few minutes if he will play. Slokar is also facing some injury problems due to blow which he got during the practice in his troath. This injuries are not an excuse as we understand that we need to win this game no matter what."

Edin Bavčić, player of Union Olimpija: "Fifth round of Euroleague waits us. Even if we started with four losses and zero victories this does not mean we can be crossed out. I will same as my coach said - this game is extremly important to us and we will do anything to win it. Hopefully we will be successfull at the end."
