The following year, he averaged a little less than 5 points and 3 rebounds per game. He raised his level of play in 2000/2001 where he averaged 10 points and 5 rebounds per game. His basket at the buzzer in that Euro league season's opening game against Benetton will be remembered. He was chosen 27th overall in the 2000 NBA Entry Draft by the Indiana Pacers. He had very little playing time due to a series of minor injuries and especially coaching decisions. After three years with Indiana, he was chosen by the Charlotte Bobcats in the expansion draft two years ago. He scored the team's first basket in history. In his first year with the Bobcats, he averaged 21 minutes per game, averaging 6 points and 5 rebounds. Las season he finally blossomed, averaging 13 points and 7 rebounds in 31 minutes per game. He has played 19 games for the Slovene national team, and has been known to sacrifice individual records on behalf of them success.
